2Arduino will become that friend you've always wanted.  If you want it to talk you'll give it a way to talk, maybe even a mouth, if that's what you're making.  If you want it to hear you'll give it a way to hear.  You can give Arduino all of the 5 senses that you have, and a few more you don't.  Have you ever wanted a friend that has night vision, laser eyes, ultrasonic hearing, ability to sense someone getting close without seeing them?  Maybe you've wanted a friend that can float into the edge of space and send back pictures from it's vacation.  Or a friend that can 100' walls and survive the fall.<br />
3Arduino can even be that really chill friend that will just tell you when someone sent you a tweet by turning on a mellow pulsing blue light.  It can even be that super responsible friend that will water your plants, feed the pets, and turn on the lights to keep burglars away.<br />
4Arduino is a Physical Computing prototyping platform that is easy to program and build with.</p>
